Describing actions

Often, to describe the nature or character of actions, the description (adjective phrase) comes right after the action (infinitive verb phrase). Consider the following examples where the action (verb phrase) is highlighted in red and the description (adjective phrase) is highlighted blue.

ਰੋਜ ਕਸਰਤ ਕਰਨੀ ਜਰੂਰੀ ਹੈ
roj kasarat karanī jarūrī hae
It’s essential to exercise everyday

ਦੋ ਘੰਟਿਆਂ ‘ਚ ਕਰਨਾ ਅਸੰਭਵ ਹੈ
do ghanṭṭiā(n) ‘ch karanā asambbhav hae
It is impossible to do it in two hours

ਇਹ ਸਮਝਣਾ ਸੌਖਾ ਹੈ ਪਰ ਸਮਝਾਉਣਾ ਔਖਾ ਹੈ
ih samajhaṇā saukhā hae par samajhāuṇā aukhā hae
This is easy to understand, but hard to explain
